Secretary Treasurer
Bob Sleight
Bob is a 35 year Teamster and as Secretary-Treasurer and Principal Officer of Local 162 he is in charge of the administrative, operational and financial decisions of the Local. He oversees and assists in all Local Union contract negotiations and reviews all grievance cases prior to arbitration. He administers and enforces numerous collective bargaining agreements as the members primary representative at Wilhelm Trucking and Rigging, Oregon Transfer, Univar, General Distributors, Coca-Cola North America, Portland Beverage Company and Holman Distribution Center of Oregon. Bob is President of Union Plaza and oversees the administration and finances of the Plaza. He is also the Recording Secretary on the Joint Council #37 Executive Board, and is a Trustee on the Oregon Teamsters Employers Health and Welfare Trust (OTET).
Bob started his Teamster career at Rudie Wilhelm Warehouse Company and was initiated into Local 162 in 1976 at age 18. Bob was a shop steward and Union activist while employed at Rudie Wilhelm. He was involved in numerous organizing campaigns and strike actions assisting his fellow brothers and sisters in their fight for unionism at work places such as Core Mark, Paulson & Rolles, Fleming Foods, Fred Meyer, Ross Island Sand & Gravel and Rudie Wilhelm. Bob served on Local 162’s Executive Board as Vice President of Local 162 in 1995 until 1997. Bob was a full-time Local 162 Business Agent from 1997 through 2002, President from 2002 through 2009 and is currently Secretary-Treasurer of Local 162 since January 2010.

President
Mark Davison
As President of Teamsters Local 162, Mark Davison presides over all meetings of the Union and assists the Secretary-Treasurer in the day to day operations of the Local, in contract negotiations, Business Agent training and the grievance/arbitration committee. Mark is Chairman of the Teamsters/UPS Negotiating and Grievance Committee for Joint Council 37 covering Teamster members working at UPS in all of Oregon and parts of Idaho. He negotiates and enforces numerous collective bargaining agreements throughout the Local including as the primary representative for members working at UPS, UPS Cartage, DHL Express, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Praxair, Quimby Welding and Maverick Welding. Mark serves on the board of Union Plaza and the Oregon Teamsters Employers Trust, and is a delegate to the NW Oregon Labor Council - AFL-CIO.
Initiated into Local 162 in 1994 when he went to work at UPS in Tualatin, Oregon. Mark comes from a family of Trade Union activists in the UAW, Transit, Butchers and Painters Unions. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and graduated in 2000 with honors from Portland State University. He interned for U.S. Senator Ron Wyden while also working at UPS and attending PSU. Appointed full-time Teamster representative at Joint Council 37 and Editor of the Oregon Teamster newspaper from 2000-2003. At Local 162 Mark has served as a Shop Steward during his time working at UPS from 1994-2000, and was a full-time Local 162 Business Agent from 2003 through 2009 and is currently President of Local 162 since January 2010.

Business Agent
Bill Elzie
Bill Elzie is a full-time Business Agent and the Political Coordinator at Local 162. His current jurisdiction for representing Local 162 members includes Sapa, Sysco, CalPortland (Glacier NW), Cascade General, Ross Island Sand and Gravel, Lakeside Industries, LaGrande Industrial, E.J. Bartells, Oregon Asphalt, Valentine Surfacing, Christenson Oil, Albina Fuel Oil, Larsen Oil, Wymore Transfer, and Company's under the National Pipeline and Associated General Contractor Agreements. A truck driver by trade, Bill served honorably in the U.S. Army as a heavy truck driver. He was initiated into Local 162 in 1979 as a peak season driver at UPS. In 1980 he went on to work at Ross Island Sand and Gravel as a concrete mixer driver until becoming a Local 162 Business Agent in 1996. He was a Shop Steward from 1985-1996 and a Trustee on the Executive Board from 1990-1996.
Bill is active in the labor community and is a delegate to the Columbia Pacific Building Trades Council and NW Labor Council. He also sits on the boards of the Portland Metal Trades Council, Labor Education and Research Association and the Teamsters Council #37 Federal Credit Union. Bill's favorite part of his duties are his job site visitations with Local 162 members.

Business Agent
Ben Vedus
Ben Vedus is a full-time Business Agent at Local 162 since 2007. Ben was initiated into Local 162 in March 1979 when he was hired at UPS as a part-time hub employee while attending Portland State University. He was appointed a Local 162 Shop Steward in 1980 and served in this critical roll for nearly 27 years, both as a part-time employee and later when he went full-time as a result of the historic 1997 strike at UPS, which resulted in the creation of thousands of full-time inside jobs across the country. He was tapped numerous times over the years by Local 162 to serve on the JC37 Teamsters/UPS negotiating committee. Ben represents all part-time and full-time inside employees working at UPS in the Swan Island, Tualatin and Portland Airport facilities, and is the Secretary for the 5 States NW Teamsters/UPS Grievance Committee.

Keith Allan
Keith Allan was hired by Local 162 in October 2007 and is a full-time Business Agent. He was initiated into Local 162 in 1978 working at UPS out of the Swan Island facility as a package driver and feeder driver for over 28 years. He was inducted into the UPS Circle of Honor for more than 25 years of accident free driving, and was an active Local 162 Shop Steward for over 15 years. Keith is responsible for representing Local 162 members working in the feeder department at UPS, USF Reddaway line drivers based in Seattle, US Foodservice, Mutual Materials, Xpedx, Spicers Paper, Unisource, American Steel, Rapid Transfer, Weyerhaeuser, Lumber Products, Bakemark, Bluelinx, Ferguson, Rhodia, Industrial Export, Portland Dental and Kelly Goodwin Hardwood. Keith served honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Business Agent
Dale Hostler
Dale Hostler was hired by Local 162 in March of 2009 and is a full-time Business Agent representing members working at USF Reddaway, DTC/Fred Meyer, Safeway, Unified Grocers, Sealy Mattress, Utility Vault and Maletis Beverage. He was initiated into Local 162 in 1993 and come up through the ranks at USF Reddaway as a city pick up and delivery driver, dock worker and the last eight years as a line driver on a variety of Pacific Northwest and Northern California line haul runs. Dale is an enthusiastic and dedicated Teamster, and became a Local 162 Shop Steward in 2001. He served on the negotiating committee for the last two renewal labor agreements at USF Reddaway. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Rob Burke
Rob Burke is Vice President of Local 162 and has served on the Executive Board since 1996. Rob is a driver at Sysco, has been a Teamster since 1986 and a hard working and dedicated Shop Steward since 1988. He serves on the Local 162/Sysco negotiating committee and assists in contract proposal and ratification meetings for members working at various companies throughout the Local's jurisdiction.

Dan Winczewski
Dan Winczewski is Recording Secretary of Local 162 and has served on the Executive Board since 2001. Dan is a package car driver at UPS, has been a Teamster since 1982 and is an active Shop Steward. He has served on the JC37 Teamsters/UPS Package and Sort Riders negotiating committees, has assisted in a number of organizing campaigns, and assists in contract proposal and ratification meetings for members working at various companies throughout the Local's jurisdiction.

Pat McKay
Pat McKay is a Trustee of Local 162 and has served on the Executive Board since 2003. Pat is a driver at DHL Express, has been a Teamster since 1988 and is the Chief Shop Steward of his barn. He has participated in a number of organizing and strike campaigns at Local 162, sits on the Local 162/DHL Driver and Ramp Riders negotiating committee and assists in contract proposal and ratification meetings for members working at various companies throughout the Local's jurisdiction.

Will Balch
Will Balch is a Trustee of Local 162 and has served on the Executive Board since 2006. Will has worked at Oregon Transfer since 1993, is a Local 162 member since 1992 and is a Shop Steward. He serves on the Local 162/Oregon Transfer negotiating committee and attends contract proposal and ratification meetings for members working at various companies throughout the Local's jurisdiction.

Mike Mayo
Mike Mayo was appointed a Trustee on the Local 162 Executive Board in June 2010 to replace John Snider who retired. Like Brother Snider, Mike is also from the building materials and construction industry. Mike is a Shop Steward and has worked at Mutual Materials as a driver since 2003, and he also serves on the negotiating committee.
