On July 10, 2022, a contract ratification meeting was held at Joe Edgar Hall for Teamsters Local 162 members working at Hydro Extrusions in Portland. Members overwhelmingly voted to ratify their new three-year contract agreement. Members received significant wage increases retroactive to June 1^st, no increase to employee health care co-pays for the term of the contract, annual pension increases and other improvements.  Local 162 members at Hydro work hard producing extruded aluminum for use in manufacturing at companies such as Tesla, Ford and other major auto, building, and aerospace companies.
