Teamsters Local 162 members who retire are encouraged to become a member of the Joint Council of Teamsters No. 37 Retired Members Association.  It only costs $5.00 to join and dues are $25.00 per year, which entitle you to receive the Oregon Teamster newspaper and the IBT Teamster Magazine.  It also gets you a Christmas luncheon for two, and a $3,000 Death and Dismemberment insurance policy.  To receive those benefits you must be a paid up member of the Retired Members Association. 

They hold their monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of the month (except July) at 11:00 am, Joe Edgar Hall at the Teamsters Union Plaza complex at 1850 NE 162nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon, 97230.  Dues can be paid at the monthly meeting or you can send them to: JCT#37 Retired Members Association, c/o Secretary-Treasurer Darel Aker, 1850 NE Galloway St, McMinnville, OR, 97128.
