On the afternoon of April 10^th your Union negotiating committee reached a fully recommended contract offer with Swire Coca Cola.  While workers and their families are facing unprecedented times during this pandemic, including major layoffs and loss of health care and retirement benefits, we have secured a new four year contract that protects all of your Union rights and includes increases each year to employees hourly wages and pension contributions, and new provisions to reign in the growing burden of health care costs. 

Voting packets are now scheduled to be mailed to all Local 162 members working at Swire on Monday, April 20th.  The packets will be mailed to the mailing address each member has on file at Local 162.  We are also hosting a conference call to explain the offer and it is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 26th at 10:00 AM.  The conference call-in number, meeting identification and password are included with the voting packet. Ballots will be counted on the afternoon of Monday, May 11, 2020. We will have two rank and file Stewards from Swire present for the vote count.  Social distancing and appropriate PPE and sanitation will be utilized at the ballot count. If you have any questions regarding the recommended contract offer or any other matter pertaining to the contract ratification process, including any request for a replacement ballot, please contact Business Agent Mike Mayo at 503-257-0162.  Replacement ballots cannot be requested any sooner than beginning the week of April 27^th. 

Teamsters Local 162 represents over 350 drivers, warehouse, service technicians, cooler movers and merchandisers at Swire Coca Cola at its Wilsonville, Oregon distribution and sales center.
