|
| Local 162 President Mark Davison and Business Agent Mike Mayo were joined at the table with five rank and file members from Sysco Portland. The drivers, warehouse and fleet/maintenance were all represented at the bargaining table. |

Local 162 members turned out on Sunday, November 9th and ratified a 4-year industry-leading contract at Sysco Portland. The contract included record increases to wages and Western Conference pension, and protected Oregon Teamster Employers Trust health care benefits for our members and their families. Improvements were also made to paid holidays, vacation, automation protection, expansion of rights to honor picket lines, use of hands-free devices for drivers, accelerated timeline for new hires to gain seniority, and other driver and warehouse bidding rights, including language cleanup. Local 162 will now begin the process of working with Sysco to draft the final contract document for signature and then distribute to our members. We appreciate our member's backing and unity as we achieved a contract that rewards our members for their hard work.
